About the Indoor Nation's Cup

The Indoor Nations Cup was introduced in 2015 and is held annually as a competition to bridge the gap between Indoor and Outdoor seasons. It is an opportunity to recognize the cultural diversity that exists locally within the sport of soccer. This tournament provides a unique concept of grouping players based on their ethnic backgrounds and countries of origin, creating an exciting atmosphere that provides a stage for people throughout the community to express their pride in their heritage. Indoor Nations Cup 2019

WHEN: March 25 to April 12. Tournament dates are tentative pending number of regsitered teams

WHERE: Calgary Soccer Centre

TEAM FEE: $550.00 per Team

DIVISION OFFERINGS: The Indoor Nations Cup 2019 will be offering the following divisions:

  • Men's Open Division (16 Plus)
  • Men's Master's Division (35 Plus)
  • Men's Over 45 Division
  • Women's Open Division (16 Plus)

Tournament Format

The tournament is a round robin tournament, with teams split into groups of 4. Depending on the number of teams, there may be quarter finals, otherwise post round robin play goes directly to Semi-Finals and then Finals.

All games are played at the Calgary Soccer Centre and are played in the evenings between Monday and Thursday. There will be no weekend play for this tournament.

All players must provide proof of heritage to the CUSA office. Players only need to provide this documentation the first time they play in the tournament. CUSA staff will request additional documentation should a player appear on a countries roster that is different from tournament records.

Historical teams have priority over new teams. Historical teams can re-register their country with guarunteed acceptance up until Februrary 21 2019. Following that date, any person can register any country provided that country has not been registered for the current competition.
